Support Rescue Efforts in China and Around the World

CHINA SHELTERS
Shelters below are legitimate and trustworthy. They can be supported through donations which are managed by mediators, the details of which can be found at the bottom of this page.
Caizhen, born in rural China, worked tirelessly to achieve her dreams of a successful career, business travel, and savings. However, in 2020, she gave it all up to dedicate herself to animal rescue. She invested her savings to rent a shelter in Guangdong, and has since rescued hundreds of cats from abusive situations, including the meat trade. Currently, her shelter cares for over 400 cats and dogs.
Your support can make a difference in the lives of these animals.
Henan cat group shelter
The shelter faced initial challenges after saving cats from a cart on May 8, 2024, with Yaya, a rescuer, being the only one caring for them at night. Over time, the situation improved, but the number of cats continues to grow due to pregnancies, leading to fights, stress, and illness. Sterilization funds are crucial to managing this issue.
The base is currently struggling with three main problems: feeding the large number of cats (90 pounds of food per day), funding for sterilizations, and medical costs for sick cats. Volunteers assist when they can, but more help is still needed. Despite these challenges, many cats have already been sterilized thanks to generous donations.
MR. MO shelter
Mr. Mo is a dedicated cat rescuer from Guangxi, China, known for his tireless efforts to save cats despite facing numerous challenges. In 2023, he rescued 160 cats from the Ximen vegetable market in Guilin, a region notorious for the illegal cat meat trade.
Living in a remote area with limited volunteers, Mr. Mo often works alone, sacrificing sleep to care for the many animals under his protection. His heroic actions, including saving cats from meat trucks, highlight his deep commitment to animal welfare in a region where both cat and dog meat consumption continue.
DO YOU WANT TO HELP THEM?
Shelters in China face challenges when seeking donations from outside the country due to the internet barrier limiting access to crowdfunding platforms, making it difficult for shelters to connect with global supporters. So, if you want to donate, a middle person is required. Fortunately, there are two reliable rescuers, Eeva and Wendy, who can accept donations on behalf of these shelters and ensure the funds reach them.
Eeva
I’m a vegan living in Helsinki, Finland with my cats. I started fighting for animal rights years ago after realizing how badly most animals are treated in this world. Today, I follow the development of animal rights in a wide area and am particularly interested in animal issues in China and Vietnam. I work mostly on social media. I’m really happy to be a part of this wonderful group doing great work for animals.”Exposing the real truth of the dog and cat meat trade in Asia with the most recent footage.

Wendy
I am originally from China but currently reside in Australia. I began raising awareness for cats in China and started rescuing them in 2023. I have connected with many reliable individual rescuers and a few shelters dedicated to rescuing cats and dogs in China.
Rescue work can be especially difficult in places where animal cruelty laws are lacking and no government-subsidized shelters exist. Although I lead a busy lifestyle, I know that the work I do for cats in China is essential. Our biggest challenges include providing long-term veterinary care and managing ongoing expenses.
We deeply appreciate everyone who has supported our cause and joined us on this journey. Thank you all!
